Mizuno USA Site Redesign
Challenge
Mizuno manufactures and sells premium sporting goods equipment to athletes – athletes who tend to be a very passionate bunch. Although Mizuno shares this same unyielding passion for sports and sporting goods, a quick assessment of Mizuno’s previous (2010) online properties revealed that this shared enthusiasm was not being communicated.
Solution
Based on our research, we identified three core opportunities to connect with the audience: inspire, empower and identify. We used these principles to help guide our design and structure for the site – inspiring with powerful imagery, empowering with tools to help athletes find the right gear for them, and identifying with athletes through stories from Mizuno athletes.
Results
So far, the results have been encouraging. Compared with 2010, unique site visitors have increased by 29% and they’re spending an additional 20 seconds longer on the site learning about and connecting with the brand. Perhaps more importantly though, the consumer feedback has been extremely positive. That metric alone made the whole endeavor worthwhile.

Mizuno Performance Fit System
Challenge
The Mizuno Performance Fit System was designed to help outfit golfers with the best Mizuno club for their swing. Mizuno wanted to ensure that customers could find rich and consistent information about the MizunoPFS regardless of the retail environment.
Solution
Modea created a mobile site that houses a video overview of the MizunoPFS, testimonial videos, a fitter locator and a break down of the benefits of PFS. This site is accessible via QR code or short URL and allows visitors to get a much better understanding of the PFS system and how it can benefit their game, further delivering on our goal of empowering athletes to find the right gear for them.

Mizuno Brand Ambassador Videos
Challenge
Mizuno sponsors some of the most elite athletes in golf, running, baseball, softball and volleyball, and wanted to leverage these sponsorships to connect with their consumers. They all have interesting stories to tell, but how can we share them in a way that inspires and connects with their consumers?
Solution
Modea created and shot intimate video interviews that celebrated these athletes for the elite sports figures they are. At the same time, these videos share close and personal stories that help consumers to identify with them and the Mizuno brand.
