Responsibilities:
- Serve as a bridge between the Creative Services team and Web Application Development team
- Work directly with designers to add interactive functionality to static pages
- Have a keen understanding of the core HTML/CSS structure of web projects as to be able to provide intuitive enhancement to web projects
- Full understanding of advanced topics such as DOM manipulation and management.
- Collaborate with Web Application Developers to create efficient utilization of AJAX
- Research and learn the latest JavaScript and AJAX libraries and technologies, bringing new knowledge and ideas to bear for each and every project
Required:
- At least 2-3 years professional experience in web development/coding/JavaScript
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript and AJAX and working with XML and JSON formats
- Expert knowledge of jQuery JS library.
- Strong knowledge of the DOM and XHTML/CSS standards
- Experience in coding with OOP practices, MVC techniques and interacting with various server-side technologies such as PHP and MySQL
- Working knowledge of JSON, REST, XML-RPC, and WSDL/SOAP
- Experienced in cross-browser and cross-platform development
- Understanding of various JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery, Scriptaculous, Mootools, Mochikit, Dojo, etc.
- Have a web portfolio of various web sites, projects and JavaScript code.
Preferred:
- Experience with Ext-JS framework is a bonus
- Able to code clean XHTML and CSS and translate design exactly into clean XHTML/CSS code.
- BS in Computer Science
- Experience with web programming languages such as PHP, Java, .Net
- Familiarity with ActionScript and/or Flash a bonus
