Not So Casual Friday

Every Friday since 2008, Modeans have been meeting up for a free lunch and social hour, but week to week there are others who come to see and be seen. From tuxedos and ball gowns to pilots and captains, on Fridays at Modea, anything goes.

Happy Hour

On the first Friday of every month, Modeans, family members, friends and local neighbors celebrate together at a bar of choice downtown. What are we celebrating, you ask? This wonderful life.

Chili Cook-off

'Round these parts chili is serious business and the cook-off is a die-hard competition. Every year, Modeans come out with their best combinations of spices, beans and meats to see who will be crowned the next Chili Cook-off Champion.

Modea Jubilæum

This year, we were looking for an excuse to picnic, play kick ball, run a sack race, design an epic relay race, you know, everything you haven't had a chance to do since elementary school -- and what better way to do that than with a field day in honor of Modea's fifth birthday. Thus, Modea Jubilæum was born.

In the Fields...

Soccer Players

The Modea soccer team is full of heart, team players, great attitudes and probably the best uniforms in town, which is why our record of 2 wins and about... ohh... 800 losses really isn't that discouraging. Our philosophy is: if you can't beat 'em, you might as well have fun - and that's how we play right up until the last second of every game.

Modea Softball might be one of our newest sports, but we're coming out swinging (see what we did there?). Locally, we're known as the team that plays intro music every time a player steps up to the plate and sure, sometimes we get a little loud, but it's all for the love of the game.

Can't find someone at their desk? The second place to check would be one of our three foos rooms. So far, a conference room, bathroom and patio have been taken over by the Fooskateers and they're not quiet about it either. You'll know something is wrong on the day you don't hear battle cries, smack talking and victory dances coming through the walls.

Just because you're not on the field, doesn't mean you're not on the team. Our almighty parade of sideliners is definitely known to cause a commotion. Equipped with stereo equipment for intro music, a fleet of vuvuzelas and "refreshments," they're always there to lift spirits and provide unwavering support.
